Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict Divorce: Kevin Samuels Strikes Again!

Here is everything we know about the Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict divorce. Tia Mowry is divorcing her husband Cory Hardrict after nearly 14 years of marriage and it seems like the Godfather Kevin Samuels strikes from the grave again! The news came out recently due to a member of the TMZ team leaking the decision by the couple to move forward with divorce.

This leak caused the couple, who have two young children together, to announce their separation in a joint statement. “We have decided to file for divorce,” they said. “We are sad to say that we are going our separate ways, but we know this is the best decision for our family.”

10 Reasons Why Divorce Is Bad for Our Society

Any time there is a divorce, it is a sad time in our society for many reasons. First, it hurts the children who have to go through it. Second, it destroys families. Third, it costs a lot of money. Fourth, it can cause emotional pain for years afterward. Fifth, it often leaves one or both spouses feeling bitter and/or angry. Sixth, it sometimes causes people to take their anger out on others. Seventh, it can be difficult to rebuild a shattered family afterward. Eighth, divorce almost always leaves one or both spouses feeling disappointed and disillusioned. Ninth, it can be very hard to start over again after a divorce. Tenth, divorce usually leads to loneliness and isolation.

Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict Divorce Predicted?

Therefore, we are not writing this article to celebrate their divorce or breakup; however, unfortunately, there is a greater issue going on that many people may not be aware of, and more and more women are being encouraged to file for divorce without fully considering the repercussions. It’s unclear how long the pair had been having marital issues, but Tia may have dropped a hint earlier in the week when the actress re-posted a message on her Instagram that read, “Letting go can be painful. But it won’t hurt as much holding on to an illusion.”

Who Filed for Divorce First: Tia Mowry or Cory Hardrict?

The couple tied the knot back in 2008; however, in the present day, Tia filed for divorce in Los Angeles, with “irreconcilable differences” cited as the reason. We will explain what “irreconcilable differences” mean later on, but the date of separation is still not clear.

Tia is asking for joint physical and legal custody of their two children: 11-year-old Cree and 4-year-old Cairo and she is also requesting that the judge terminate any spousal support to either party, as they have a prenuptial agreement intact.

Based on the BBC article titled, “Why women file for divorce more than men,” it is clear that Tia fits into this statistic yet again of women in America filing for divorce 70% of the time! This is an alarming rate because it means that in 10 marriages, 7 of the wives will choose to leave their husbands. When the demographics are separated based on race that number increases to an alarming 80-90%!!!

In most cases, women automatically receive full custody of the children, so because Tia chose to request joint custody it would seem that she believes Cory will still be a great father to their children, but what does it mean regarding them having “irreconcilable differences?”

What Is the Meaning of Irreconcilable Differences in Divorce?

Irreconcilable differences in a divorce generally mean that the couple has found themselves at an impasse where they cannot seem to agree on anything. This term is often used as a legal term to describe when a couple wants to end their marriage.

The definition of irreconcilable differences can vary from state to state, but it generally means that the couple has tried unsuccessfully to resolve their issues and has come to a point where they believe that there is no way for them to continue living together. In some cases, one spouse may allege that the other spouse has caused irreparable damage, such as through emotional or physical abuse.

If the couple cannot agree on who should file for divorce based on these differences, then the court will decide based on what it believes is best for the children or for any property/assets that are in dispute. Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict are not the only couples experiencing this as the trend of women seeking to file for divorce based on irreconcilable differences continue to increase with Miguel’s wife following the same path to divorce him.

What Were Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict Irreconcilable Differences?

No one truly knows because the couple was seen as a dream Hollywood marriage with two beautiful children that kept most of their lives private other than the occasional family vacation photos. Tia initiated the divorce, but she also has not said much of anything about the news yet. Her social media has been used lately to share positive messages on her Instagram story by reposting horoscopes. One of which stated, “You’re going to be celebrating something major soon. Your heart and mind will be at peace. You’ll see it all miraculously work out. Be grateful for it all right now. You are highly blessed already” based on the Shade Room.

What Did Kevin Samuels Say About Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict?

Kevin Samuels, often referred to as “the Godfather” after amassing millions of subscribers on his YouTube channel before he passed away earlier this year, was known for stating the statistics surrounding women and divorce. After the breaking of Tia Mowry’s divorce from Cory Hardrict, it is clear that his talking points will live on forever as it was stated above that Tia divorced Cory over irreconcilable differences.

Kevin Samuels on Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict Divorce

“Women for the last 30 to 40 years have been told they can have it all whenever they want, no matter how they are. And they’ve been given an unrealistic expectation…” ~ Kevin Samuels

The posting of Tia’s first quote and then the astrological readings hint at the concept that Tia was not happy in her marriage. She may have wanted the Disney fairytale that has created a false illusion in many women’s minds that marriage is about living “happily ever after;” however, based on history alone, marriage is about commitment and duty. This was a talking point of Kevin Samuels frequently on his show.

When women would try to argue about their happiness, many of whom were faith-based Christians, he would simply refer back to the day that they took their vows and ask, where did it say anything about happiness?

Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict Divorce despite Their Christian Faith

When it comes to their faith, both Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict profess the Christian faith. According to the Christian Post, it was Tia that learned how to have faith because of Cory. She was quoted as saying the following regarding her husband at the time:

“Cory is a man of faith and a man of God. He’ll put something on the board and he’ll say, ‘Tia, I know that that’s going to come to pass,” she said. “I’m like ‘this dude is crazy.’ But for real then it comes to pass.”

Tia Mowry Divorces Husband Against Christian Beliefs

“He has faith beyond this world and I learned that from him. His faith is unstoppable,” she said. “He has faith in his career. He has faith in his marriage. He has faith in his son.” ~ Tia Mowry

One can only speculate how did the couple end up here since Tia made it seem like Cory was the glue holding their faith and family together. Maybe Tia still believes that Cory is a man of God since they will both share joint custody; however, it is very odd that he is not enough of a man of God to reconcile their differences. Cory was once quoted as saying the following:

Cory Hardrict Speaks on Christian Faith

“I keep God first. I have an amazing wife, Tia, and an amazing son, Cree, and I’m a family man first and they keep me grounded,” he told Ebony. “They’re my support system, so they make me stronger. They allow me to go out and act and be humble and keep it simple.” ~ Cory Hardrict

In the Christian faith, divorce is not permitted unless one spouse commits adultery and since adultery is not listed as the reason for Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict’s divorce, we can only hope that they eventually reconcile their differences and we wish both of them and their kid’s peace through this process.
